George Spencer Designs, Malabar’s creations are a testament to the artistry, cultural heritage and weaving skills of the Malabar region, from which the brand draws its name and inspiration.
The Mati collection is an ode to the art of slow craft. Featuring a warm colour palette of earthen clay, ash, stone, indigo and sand, the fabrics reflect the tones of an open-air pottery studio in Goa, as well as the southwest landscape of Austin, Texas – where Malabar’s HQ is based. From this melting pot of inspiration, the three playful fabrics offer a wonderfully contemporary and stylish option for upholstery and drapery, each with its own distinct character.
