Expanding its impressive list of luxury holiday properties, the Tawny Hotel became stewards of the Bath House: a grade II listed, 10-bedroom property with its own private pool. A short drive away from the hotel, the house is nestled in the idyllic landscape of rural Staffordshire, bordering the Consall National Park and near the Peak District. The team at the Tawny looked to Louise Platt, interior designer, to reimagine the property’s interior whilst honouring its history, creating a calm and beautiful space that offers guests an unforgettable escape.
Louise looked to the serene landscape for inspiration, selecting floral patterns, organic textures and a natural palette to create a peaceful sanctuary and help guests to connect with the beauty that awaits outdoors. In keeping with this theme, London Basin Company’s basins were the perfect choice to elevate the bathrooms, acting as centrepieces for spa-like, tranquil spaces in which guests can completely unwind and relax.
In one of the bathrooms, the Amara basin was chosen for its delicate pink hue, floral shape and subtle Moorish design. Set upon an elegant shaker vanity and complemented by warm brass hardware, the handcrafted Amara creates an elegant focal point, elevating the space with its decorative detail and individuality.
The neutral theme continues into the master bathroom, complete with a luxurious, freestanding bath and original stone fireplace. Bridging the gap between traditional and contemporary, the striking Cornelia basin from London Basin Company is created by hand from the finest crystal glass, featuring intricate decorative detailing and a delicate scalloped edge.
A quietly luxurious statement piece, the graceful Cornelia perfectly complements the bathroom’s palette, with its transparency catching the light and capturing neutral colours within the tranquil space. The crystal glass basin feels undeniably luxurious, bringing tranquil beauty to the bathroom.
