Martin Moore’s classic and contemporary ‘New Deco’ collection dazzles in a fresh colour palette at the Tunbridge Wells showroom. Originally designed for the 2023 WOW!house show at the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour, where Martin Moore collaborated with renowned interior designer Henry Prideaux to produce a decadent, showstopping kitchen.

The New Deco collection from Martin Moore was the perfect choice for the collaboration; inspired by the architects of the 1930s, the collection pulls inspiration from the Art Deco style, showcasing clean lines and simple, elegant geometry. It is the perfect starting point for projects as it offers complete design flexibility, working well with all colours, materials and interior styles.

A testament to the versatility of the collection, the cabinetry has been repainted in two bold colours: light powder pink covers the walls and cabinetry, and the island and main kitchen run is swathed in a deep teal, matching the green and blue tones in the striking quartz waterfall island worktop and matching splashback. The L-shape island provides ample cabinetry and surface space, whilst producing a magnificent central feature in the kitchen. The classic yet contemporary nature of the collection transcends fashion; it offers a timeless design that will never go out of style.

A pantry is cleverly disguised on the left side of the hob to maintain symmetry and balance whilst providing ample storage space. Completely custom-built, Martin Moore kitchens are designed to work in harmony with the space and size of a room. Elements such as pantries, breakfast cupboards and appliances can be cleverly concealed behind cabinetry to maintain a streamlined, clean aesthetic.

The semi-precious quartz showcases a breathtaking combination of colours that work in tandem with the pale pink and teal cabinetry. Covering the book-matched splashback, iconic Martin Moore mantel and waterfall island, the quartz adds a touch of iconic WOW!house decadence; although bold, it firmly proves that colourful materials can create a statement without feeling excessive. A creamy veined quartzite on the run on the hob and sink run adds another layer of subtle luxury to the design.

Brass accents complete the look and bring simple elegance to the kitchen. Unfussy brass handles complement the Art Deco aesthetic with their linear design, and two brass chandeliers with gold accents hang over the island, bringing the attention down towards the striking quartz worktop. From the taps to the bar stool hardware, every element of metalware brings a perfectly coordinated and unified finish to the kitchen.

The cabinet interiors are lined with a dazzling anodised brushed metal in a silver finish. Glass-fronted cabinets help reflect light around the space whilst showcasing prized kitchenware; it is another subtle feature that illustrates the high level of attention to detail in every Martin Moore kitchen design.
