Francesca’s Colour of the Month is Sea Kale – a beautiful, deep greyish green created for her most recent collection ‘Postcard from Barra’.
The entire collection takes its inspiration from the wild, natural landscape of the Outer Hebridean island of Barra, and Sea Kale’s hues emulate the herbaceous maritime plant found there. An amalgamation of grey, green and bluey brown, this shade has a moody, sophisticated feel and adds great depth to interiors. It pairs wonderfully with light or bright pink, dark blue and off-white, as well as sandy tones and terracotta. It is perfect for hallways and drawing rooms and would work well as a background colour for artwork.
