Founded in 2017 by Matthew Bates, Blake & Bull is a family owned company that reimagines Aga range cookers through a comprehensive refurbishing, re-enamelling, and conversion service, equipping them for the future and transforming them with a generous palette of over 65 colourways, ranging from rich Claret red to cool Pearl Grey.
Blake & Bull’s genesis came about when enterprising self-starter Matthew decided to set up a business offering deep cleaning and upgrading services to Aga customers. The business quickly expanded, as did the team, and soon Blake & Bull were offering a full reconditioning service and producing restored Aga range cookers assembled, with tender love and care, from recycled components.
Today Blake & Bull is a close-knit, highly skilled team of 40 people, operating from a showroom, warehouse and workshop nestled on Hartley Farm, in Wiltshire. Alongside the core range which includes three classic models, the company also offers a range of valuable services from cleaning and on-site re-enamelling and refurbishing to energy conversion, switching oil and gas dependent cookers to electric run systems.
Sustainability and restoration are at the heart of the company’s ethos; they are committed to British manufacturing and production, as well as the electrification of their products. Electric models heat faster than oil powered cookers, are less expensive to run and are more efficient due to the lack of flue. A reimagined Blake & Bull Aga range cooker offers the traditional warmth and solidity one expects, with the eco conscious credentials to last for the next 100 years.
Cooker Services
Three Models Reimagined: The Blake & Bull range offers three models including ‘Heritage style’ first designed in the 1930s, ‘Classic style’, a mid-20th century original, and ‘Modern style’ dating from the 1970s. Each Blake & Bull Aga range cooker has been lovingly reassembled from newly conditioned recycled components to offer restored models, equipped for modern day living.
Re-enamelling: Blake & Bull can re-enamel existing range cookers in a single day, swapping old doors, panels, brackets and more with traditionally enamelled, original components sourced from their extensive vault. The re-enamelling service offers 65 colourways.
Refurbishing: Blake & Bull can refurbish almost any cooker made since 1941. The process begins with deep cleaning to restore that signature sheen. Following this, door and lid liners, lid chrome tops, door washers and other small items are all replaced with new parts. It’s a complete and thorough refurbishment, which restores range cookers to their former glory.
Conversion: A key service in the Blake & Bull offering is the conversion of oil run cookers to electric run systems. Their highly skilled team of trained experts can convert existing oil powered models to electric using either the Electrikit or eControl systems. The result is an Aga range cooker which heats faster, is less expensive to run and is more efficient due to the lack of flue. Dismantling and Removal: Blake & Bull offer a safe dismantling and removal service. Once dismantled they can dispose of the cooker, leave the parts with the client or remove to their workshop for re-enamelling, re-installation and conversion.

Drying Racks: To take advantage of the radiating warmth of Aga range cookers Blake & Bull offer an exclusive range of traditional drying racks which either sit atop the range or floor mounted.
Textiles: Designed to complement and ornament their Aga range cookers, Blake & Bull offer a stylish selection of tea towels, hob covers, oven gloves, aprons and other textiles. All original Blake & Bull designs, patterns can be mixed and matched, whilst options for different models of Aga and Rayburn range cookers are available to suit individual needs. Whether it’s a decorative floral or a classic plain, the Blake & Bull cookshop range has something for everyone.
Cookware
For Blake & Bull, an Aga range cooker is not simply a product, it’s a lifestyle, encompassing the joy of cooking and the concept of the kitchen as the heart of the home. Blake & Bull’s cookware collection is the ideal one stop shop for Aga range owners, offering pots, pans, tins, griddles, made-to-measure wire racks and baking trays, as well as smaller necessities such as measuring jugs, lemon squeezers and salt and pepper mills.
Comprising their own in-house designs, as well as brands such as WOLL (exclusive to Blake & Bull in the UK), Samuel Groves and Netherton Foundry, this practical yet stylish range offers the highest quality materials, including cast iron and copper, and incorporates products designed specifically for range cooker use.
