Scandavian Cool - Marylebone New Build feat. Francesca's Paints

14 Feb 23

Reimagined by Works Architecture, this Marylebone new build showcases a seamless fusion of cool contemporary Scandinavian styling, and warm, decorative detailing.

Built over seven floors, the façade of the building was preserved to retain the charm and heritage of the property, however the interior was completely ripped out, gifting Works Architecture a blank canvas with which to work.

Forming the backdrop to the scheme’s décor, colours from
Francesca’s Paints feature throughout. To complement the interior’s pared back feel and natural wooden elements, Francesca mixed a palette of cool neutrals for the hallway and staircases, as well as the upstairs living room. With a warmer feel, ‘Silent’ features in the downstairs kitchen/living/dining area – a deep, rich blue, it is a perfect match for the black furniture and brass fittings and finishes.

Alongside colours chosen from her existing collections, Francesca was also tasked with mixing custom colours, each paint mixed by hand in her London Studio using the finest bases and pigments from Italy.
