The Dog Shower by Martin Moore

As masters of maximising and organising space, bespoke kitchen makers Martin Moore are regularly commissioned to design ancillary rooms alongside their main kitchens, including utility rooms, boot rooms and even dog showers.

Martin Moore have always designed furniture to accommodate dog beds and custom storage for dog food, however recently more and more people have been looking to incorporate bespoke dog showers into their utility and boot rooms, allowing dogs to be easily cleaned before entering the main kitchen.

No member of the family was overlooked in this project - not even the dog. A bespoke walk-in shower cubicle was included in the design of the utility room. Originally the plan was to have an outdoor shower, however the family soon decided that their much loved pooch was to have his own comfortable space within the home. The cubicle features a hinged glass door, polished chrome fittings, including tap, shower head and furniture handles, as well as an acrylic, non-slip shower tray. Visual cohesion is paramount to the serene feel of this space with the shower being deliberately designed to match the height of the bespoke cabinets. Located directly by the garden door, it makes practical use of the space, allowing the dog to be easily cleaned before entering the main kitchen.
