Symmetrical Sophistication: Sleek Kitchen Design from DesignSpace London

As a central feature of the room, they wanted to achieve the ‘wow factor’, with a kitchen that was not only dramatic, but also functional and practical enough to accommodate their growing family.

The overall concept was to think big; it was essential that the new kitchen stand out within the grand proportions of the room. To this end,
DesignSpace London designed a large central island to form the heart of the space. Not only does it offer uninterrupted views of the fabulous garden, it is also capable of seating up to six people, making it the social hub of the kitchen.

Featuring a combination of Modulnova’s BLADE and MH6 collections, there is a chic, minimalist feel to the kitchen. Floor to ceiling cupboards keep the working elements of the kitchen concealed from view and provide ample storage space for appliances and kitchenware.

Whilst the layout is deliberately simple and symmetrical it is the materials and finishes which give this kitchen its appeal.  The scheme showcases a sophisticated blend of wood veneer and a metal finish, contributing to the subtle splendour of the space. With waterfall edges, the island’s Stone Italiana quartz worktop is echoed in the decorative splashback.

In addition to the main kitchen, DesignSpace London were also asked to design a bespoke ‘spice’ kitchen. A simple, practical space, it acts as a back-up when the family are entertaining on a large scale, ensuring messier tasks can be carried out without disturbing their guests.

Providing a cohesive visual link with the main kitchen, the design also features a mix of wood, metal and quartz.
