The Home Office

Offering an entirely bespoke service, Martin Moore can design furniture to suit any setting and to meet clients’ individual requirements. The home office shown here is part of an ambitious redesign of a period property in Surrey, which saw the creation of a substantial new space, opened-out to accommodate a kitchen, living and office area.

The office zone is cleverly signposted through the use of a dividing wall, separating the study from the kitchen and offering a sense of privacy within the open-plan scheme. The choice of Martin Moore’s New Classic cabinetry, handpainted in their ‘Linen Grey’ paint, in both the kitchen and office area not only achieves a classic, contemporary feel but helps maintain a coherent flow throughout.

Designed to maximise light and space, the office features an abundant amount of storage space with numerous pull-out cupboards and drawers, whilst the workstation is orientated to take advantage of garden views.

Drawing on the current trend for natural wood, the use of Walnut in the worktops, desk and wall cladding, makes the office feel both efficient and cosy. Burnished Brass handles add a luxurious finish.
