Gainsborough Launches the 'Grand Masters' Collection

Established in 1903 in Sudbury, Suffolk, Gainsborough is amongst Britain’s last remaining silk weaving houses.  Its founder, Reginald Warner, travelled widely in Europe collecting historic fabrics and laying the foundation of Gainsborough’s archive which, today, is one of the UK’s leading textile libraries.

Alongside the historic swatches, every fabric that Gainsborough has ever woven is also sampled and minutely detailed within the design archive, creating an extraordinary resource that countless designers have drawn on for both interiors and fashion.

The new Grand Masters Collection comes from Gainsborough’s remarkable archive, covering a wide range of historical references, especially those fabrics that have been widely used and loved over the decades.

The 21 designs in the Grand Masters Collection are all available from stock in several colourways.
