Introducing ‘Circular Thinking’, ‘A Room of One’s Own’ and ‘Silk Road’: three new traditional wallpaper collections from Aux Abris featuring nostalgic and whimsical designs.
Represented in the UK by George Spencer Designs, the New York based boutique design studio Aux Abris produces unique art wallpapers and murals. One of the studio’s hallmarks is its combination of pattern and texture; often printing on luxurious materials including linen, grasscloth, raw silk, canvas and woven Japanese papers.
Showcasing subtle yet spirited designs, the Circular Thinking collection is inspired by the versatility of circles, with abstract shapes and patterns adding a playful element to interiors. Rough Weave is a highly versatile style; the textured pattern is used as a background in both Balancing Act and Circle Squared, lending an organic quality to the designs.
Featuring four intricate floral patterns, A Room of One’s Own takes inspiration from vintage wallpapers. Elegant and exuding warmth, the four versatile designs look equally charming as a feature wall or full coverage to produce a profound sense of cosiness. The wallpapers are printed on either linen or grass cloth, both of which add a natural, organic texture to complement the floral designs.
The Silk Road collection features two new designs inspired by luxurious fabrics and patterns found along the ancient trade routes connecting the East to the West.
