Drummonds x Barlow & Barlow: The WOW!house Bathroom 2023 | Back to the Future

A visual feast for the eyes, Drummonds’ highly conceptual WOW!house bathroom, designed in collaboration with Barlow & Barlow, channels a retro futurism aesthetic, combining classic English bathroom pieces with ultra-modern finishes, furnishings and accessories.
The playful scheme is characterised by Barlow & Barlow’s masterful approach to layering colour, pattern and texture. Founded in 2013, their projects are imbued with passion and sophistication, creating interiors that are joyful, dynamic and instantly recognisable.
“We decided to work with a slightly space age/retro futurism theme to showcase the versatility of Drummonds’ products,” says Lucy Sear-Barlow, Creative Director. “We really want the beautiful pieces to speak for themselves, so we’ve tried to keep all the attention on them by going for a conceptual take.”
The room, which offers an abundance of decorative delights, is grounded and defined by Drummonds’ exquisitely made bathroomware. Timeless in style and form, the chosen pieces have a clean, contemporary feel that complements the space-age look of the space. Framed by an architectural arch, the freestanding Meon bath in a polished finish acts as a shiny centrepiece. Two Single Taw vanities with Arabescato marble tops flank the entryway whilst gleaming Chrome fittings throughout add to the futuristic feel.
Custom made black tiles, a mirrored terrazzo finish on the floors and walls and varied lighting designs bring texture and depth to the space and further enhance the celestial atmosphere.
“We are so excited to be part of WOW!house 23, and to debut the bathroom we have created,” says James Lentaigne, Creative Director of Drummonds. “The collaboration with Barlow & Barlow was a natural fit; not only do they know our range and style very well, but they create spaces that have the WOW factor and this is a design ethos that mirrors our own.”
