New… Wallpaper collection from Rebecca Atwood

With a very British heritage stretching back nearly 80 years, George Spencer Designs’ fabrics have a hallmark style of their own; designerly, natural and organic.

Alongside their own collections, George Spencer represent a few carefully chosen US and European fabric houses which share the same feel and ethos.  The line-up includes American artist and textile designer Rebecca Atwood, whose sustainably produced products have a chic contemporary edge.

In her Brooklyn studio, Rebecca uses a variety of techniques including illustration and collage to evolve patterns for her textiles and wallpapers. Her new collection of screen printed wallpapers draws its inspiration from yoga practice. From tree pose to shavasana, they render the forms of her favourite poses into flowing sequences of abstract pattern and colour.

Screen printed onto a distinctive clay-coated paper, the eight new designs each come in several colourways within a predominantly pink, grey and blue palette.  Rebecca describes them as “Beautiful, calm and promoting wellbeing.”

Available at George Spencer Designs, the new Rebecca Atwood wallpapers are 61-68.5cm wide depending on the pattern.
