NATURAL COLOURS - FOR THE GREAT OUTDOORS
FEBRUARY 25TH 2016

Nobody does natural colour better than Edward Bulmer.  One of Britain’s leading architectural historians, his all-natural paint collection is made with pure earth and mineral pigments, entirely true to nature and a perfect match for outdoor settings.

The
shade card offers seventy two historically-inspired colours for modern living, giving a depth of true colour which synthetic paints can never mimic. The collection, designed for indoors and out, includes a traditional Natural Oil Gloss, ideal for painting and preserving all exterior woodwork, from benches and chairs to windows and doors.  Permanently elastic, it resists peeling or flaking by allowing the wood to breathe naturally.
A VIBRANT NEW NAME IN BRITISH FURNITURE
FEBRUARY 24TH 2016
Designer-Maker Troo Heath-Crew and her company Tree Couture produce some of the most exciting work to emerge from British workshops in many years. The focus is on cutting-edge contemporary designs, handmade using rare materials such as prehistoric bog oak.

Supremely luxurious and meticulously detailed, the collections are limited editions, each piece individually made and finished to order before being numbered and signed with a maker’s mark. Although her works are collectors’ pieces, Troo Heath-Crew’s furniture is always as functional as it is beautiful. She treats hardwoods as precious materials, marrying them to other sumptuous elements including leathers, metals and silk-infused glass. Troo and her team are based in North London, where she has craft workshops and an airy atelier in an historic former dairy.  Her furniture is also within Clerkenwell London, the vibrant new lifestyle and design hub.

THE SPAN CABINET
FEBRUARY 10TH 2016

The Span Cabinet is a quirky, characterful design that celebrates new and exciting materials and processes. Crafted in Pippy Oak, an unusual timber that shows the grain of the wood and also the texture of knots, or ‘pips’, together with Walnut and Sycamore elements.  Supported by concrete ‘spans’ connecting the legs and the top with structural brass cross ties, the cupboard also features wired glass doors with brass handles and leather drawer liners.
THE NEW DECORATIVES
FEBRUARY 9TH 2016

After years of monochrome, exuberant colours and decorative patterns are making their way back into our homes.

The richly decorated porcelain basins from the London Basin Company are perfect accent pieces for bathrooms and cloakrooms. Interior designer Anna Callis, founder of the company, draws inspiration from her travels, creating her own modern interpretations of traditional patterns. Colours range from classic blue and white to richly coloured, ornate designs such as the ‘
Adriana’ basin shown here.
NEW LIT BATEAU: THE RAVELLO
FEBRUARY 4TH 2016
In 1982, Simon Horn re-introduced the lit bateau bed to the UK, reviving a love affair with period French furniture. Today, Simon Horn are still skilfully adapting classic designs for modern living.

The lit bateau remains their signature bed and the new Ravello is a beautiful example of this traditional design.

Hand made in walnut, it makes the most of the wood’s natural beauty, showing the decorative graining in its full splendour, especially on the headboard and footboard. Comfortable and luxurious, this bed is the perfect centrepiece for any bedroom.

The Ravello is available in all sizes from Single to Emperor.
